ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College has had four players named to the All-Commonwealth Conference field hockey team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Julie Foster and defender
Caitlin Smith were voted to the first team while forward
Brenna Noon and goalkeeper
Liz Hannegan were second-team selections after helping the Blue Jays to an 11-7 overall record and third place in the conference with a 5-2 record.
Foster finished with two goals and four assists for eight points in 17 matches, including two goals and two assists in conference play. A three-year starter for the Blue Jays, she has four goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 57 career matches.
Smith, who was also a first-team selection in 2007, started all 18 games on defense and helped the Blue Jays hold the opposition to one goal or less 11 times this season. She was a three-year starter and finished her career with a goal and an assist in 52 games.
Noon, a second-team pick in 2007, tied for the team lead with eight goals and was tied for second on the team with 18 points while starting all 18 matches. Five of her eight goals came in conference matches, and she also shared the team lead with three game-winning goals. A four-year starter, Noon finished her career with 35 goals and 12 assists for 82 points in 80 games.
Hannegan started all 18 games in goal for the Blue Jays and compiled a 1.71 goals against average and a .709 save percentage while recording five shutouts. A three-year starter, Hannegan closed her career with a 36-14 record and a 1.34 goals against average in 50 starts, with 16 shutouts and a .723 save percentage.
Julie Barton of Messiah College was named conference Player of the Year, while the Falcons' Jan Trapp was named Coach of the Year. Caitlin Vasey of Lebanon Valley College came away with Rookie of the Year honors.
