WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College posted a 99-18 victory over King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference men's swimming meet on Wednesday evening.
The Blue Jays (2-2 overall, 2-2 MAC) had no trouble against a Monarch squad that had just two competitors, winning all 10 events on the evening.
Picking up victories for the Blue Jays were
Ryan Hannon in the 1000 freestyle (11:52.59) and 200 backstroke (2:19.41),
Dan Provence in the 200 freestyle (2:01.12) and 100 freestyle (53.95 seconds),
Kevin Smedman in the 50 freestyle (24.96 seconds),
Shaun Martin in the 400 individual medley (5:03.25) and 200 breaststroke (2:37.16),
Matt Drob in the 200 butterfly (2:23.05) and
Chris Nelson in the 500 freestyle (6:39.25).
The 200 medley relay team of Smedman, Martin, Drob and Provence was the lone team in the pool for their event, and was clocked in a time of 1:54.17.
