COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- Alli Rosati scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Ursinus College defeated Elizabethtown College 61-42 in a non-conference women's basketball game Monday evening at Helfferich Hall.
Alex Shivers added 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Bears (8-9 overall), who finished with a 47-33 edge on the boards over the Blue Jays (5-11 overall).
Courtney Kofeldt made a season-high five three-pointers and scored 15 points to lead the Blue Jays, who shot 26 percent (13-for-50) from the field for the game.
Kaity Snyder added seven points, seven rebounds and five assists for Elizabethtown while
Megan Strohman contributed eight points and four boards.
The Bears jumped to a 15-4 lead after eight minutes and carried a 33-14 lead into halftime behind 15 points from Rosati. Elizabethtown shot just 18.2 percent (4-for-22) in the half and commited 15 turnovers which led to 16 Ursinus points.
In the second half, the Blue Jays mounted a run behind the outside shooting of Kofeldt, who sank three three-pointers during a 17-4 spurt that cut the Bear lead to 41-33 with 11:00 remaining, but Ursinus would not let Elizabethtown pull any closer.
Jaclyn Hilf finished with six points and a game-high six assists for the Bears, while Lindsay Teuber grabbed six rebounds and made four steals in 18 minutes.
Ali Jury contributed six points and six rebounds for Elizabethtown, which went 10-for-15 from the foul line while Ursinus finished 13-for-19 at the stripe.
