ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College guard
Megan Strohman has been named second-team All-Commonwealth Conference by the league's eight head coaches, the conference office announced Monday.
Strohman led the Blue Jays and currently leads the Commonwealth Conference in scoring average at 14.9 points per game, and also led the team in three-pointers (58) and steals (56). She ranks second in the conference in both three-pointers and three-point percentage (39.5 percent) while her 2.33 steals per game are third-best in the league.
Her 58 three-pointers are tied for the third-most in a season in Elizabethtown program history, while her 88 career threes place her eighth on the school career list.
Joining Strohman on the second team were guard Kelli McIntire and forward Alex Velazquez, both of Alvernia University, forward Dori Gyori of Messiah College and center Casey Pritz of Widener University.
Five guards were named to the first team, led by conference Player of the Year Andrea Hoover of Lebanon Valley College, Rookie of the Year Lil Carney of Widener University, Julie Henninger of Messiah, Suzie Noyes of Lebanon Valley and Jessica McGinness of Albright College.
Lebanon Valley coach Todd Goclowski was honored as Coach of the Year after guiding the Flying Dutchmen to the Commonwealth Conference finals for the third straight season and the program's first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament.
