Blue Jays Defeat Wooster 15-10 on Spring Break

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. --- Elizabethtown College defeated the College of Wooster 15-10 in a non-conference women's lacrosse game played at Saint Mary's University Tuesday afternoon.

Sarah Cullinan scored three goals to lead the Blue Jays (2-1 overall) while Stephanie Kreis and Samantha Redles each added two goals and two assists. Alisha Sangrey contributed a pair of goals and an assist, with Megan Byrnes and Becky Porter chipping in two goals each.

Becca Worthington led the Fighting Scots (1-1 overall) with four goals and an assist, with Nina Dine and Madison Carey each scoring a pair of goals.

Elizabethtown led 8-6 at halftime and outscored Wooster 7-4 in the second half to come away with the victory.

Defensively, Alexis Morris led the Blue Jays with three draw controls and three ground balls, while Claire Nelson-Johnson paced the Fighting Scots with three ground balls.

Nicole Day made six saves in goal to earn the win for Elizabethtown, while Wooster split playing time between Sarah Blosser in the first half (seven saves) and Shawna Ferris in the second half (eight saves).
