ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior center Mike Church has been named first-team All-Commonwealth Conference in men's basketball and junior guard Keith Fogel was a second-team pick, as selected by the league's eight head coaches and announced Tuesday.

Church is a repeat first-team selection while Fogel is a first-time honoree after they combined to help lead the Blue Jays to a 16-9 overall record and fourth place in the Commonwealth Conference with an 8-6 mark this season.

Church led Elizabethtown in scoring average (15.3 points per game), rebounding average (8.9 per game) and blocked shots (51). He ranks eighth in the conference in scoring, third in rebounding and second in blocks while also ranking sixth in field-goal percentage at 51.5 percent (137-for-266). Church finished with nine double-doubles and scored 20 or more points in a game four times.

On Feb. 13 at Widener University, Church became the 30th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone. He finished his career ranked 29th on the career scoring list with 1,068 points while adding 581 rebounds, 141 assists, 140 blocked shots and 134 steals in 94 career games.

Fogel ranked second on the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game and led the Blue Jays with 46 three-pointers in 131 attempts (35.1 percent). He also led the team with 102 assists and 55 steals, and ranked second on the squad by shooting 80.4 percent (78-for-97) from the foul line.

Fogel scored in double figures 21 times in 25 games, with three of the games in which he failed to do so a result of coming out early in blowout victories. He led the Blue Jays in scoring seven times, including a career high-tying 25 points against Arcadia University in the regular-season finale on Feb. 20 to lock up a conference playoff spot.

Next season, Fogel will begin his senior year with 821 career points and 102 career three-pointers along with 217 assists and 145 steals.

Albright College's Zac Shaeffer was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, and joined Church on the first team along with Eric Anthony of Lycoming College, Tad Gillis of Alvernia University and Joe Meehan of Lebanon Valley College. Along with Fogel, second-team picks were Matt Ashcroft of Albright, Will Kelly of Lycoming, and Messiah College teammates Kyle Snyder and Jamie Yoder.

Lycoming's Jerald Williams was recognized as conference Rookie of the Year, while the Warriors' Guy Rancourt was selected Coach of the Year.
