FORT PIERCE, Fla. --- Penn State Behrend scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Elizabethtown College 5-3 in non-conference baseball action Monday afternoon.
The Lions (3-0 overall) defeated the Blue Jays (1-2 overall) for the second time in as many days, as Jay Condit (1-0) earned the win in relief while Andy Kountz picked up the save.
Todd Leister started for the Blue Jays and threw seven strong innings, allowing a run on five hits.
Josh Hannold (0-1) took the loss after giving up four runs on two hits and a walk in the eighth inning.
At the plate,
Andrew Gordon finished 2-for-5 with a run batted in while
Rodney Francis went 1-for-4 with two runs scored.
Dillon Tagle drew three walks, increasing his season total to eight bases on balls through three games.
