ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Four members of the Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Metro Region team, the IWLCA has announced.

Junior attack Sarah Cullinan, senior midfielder Katie Caprinolo and first-year defender Alexis Morris were first-team picks while senior attack Stephanie Kreis was a second-team selection after the Blue Jays (16-5 overall) won the first Middle Atlantic Conference championship in program history and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Cullinan, a second-team All-Region pick last season, scored 51 goals and added 25 assists for 76 points while also leading the team in ground balls (52) and caused turnovers with a single-season school record total of 42. Her 51 goals rank seventh on the program's all-time single-season list while her 52 ground balls rank second.

In three seasons, Cullinan ranks eighth in school history in goals (82), tenth in assists (44) and ninth in points (126) while holding the record with 118 caused turnovers and ranking fifth with 128 career ground balls.

Caprinolo finished with a team-high 54 goals and added 18 ground balls, 19 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers, and was named MAC tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring five goals in an 11-4 win over FDU-Florham in the championship game.

A first-team All-MAC pick, Caprinolo finished her career ranked fifth in goals (127) and seventh in points (137) and is the program's career leader with 32 free-position goals.

Morris was a standout on defense for the Blue Jays, earning first-team All-MAC honors after accumulating 36 ground balls, a team-high 36 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers despite missing four games with an injury. Her 36 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers both rank seventh on the program's single-season list.

Kreis, who was also a second-team All-Region selection in 2008, was named MAC Player of the Year after leading the conference in points (110) and assists (63, a school single-season record) while adding 47 goals, 28 ground balls and 26 draw controls. She registered seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in four postseason games, including an eight-point effort in a 13-12 NCAA first-round win over Washington & Lee University.

For her career, Kreis ranks fourth in goals (138) and points (225) and third in assists with 87. She also ranks in the top five in program history in ground balls (129, third), draw controls (104, fourth) and caused turnovers (72, fourth).
