ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior midfielder Katie Caprinolo has been named a third-team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, the IWLCA announced Wednesday.

In addition, both Caprinolo and first-year defender Alexis Morris were named third-team All-America by womenslacrosse.com, with Morris also earning a spot on the All-Rookie Squad.

The only previous All-American in program history was career scoring leader Katie Foley, who was a third-team IWLCA and a second-team womenslacrosse.com All-American in 2009.

Elizabethtown finished with an overall record of 16-5, won the first Middle Atlantic Conference championship in program history and competed in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time, defeating Washington & Lee University 13-12 on the road in the first round.

Caprinolo, a first-team All-MAC and All-Region selection, finished with a team-high 54 goals and added 18 ground balls, 19 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers, and was named MAC tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring five goals in an 11-4 win over FDU-Florham in the championship game. She finished her career ranked fifth in goals (127) and seventh in points (137) and is the program's career leader with 32 free-position goals.

Morris was also a first-team All-MAC and All-Region pick after accumulating 36 ground balls, a team-high 36 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers despite missing four games with an injury. Her 36 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers both rank seventh on the program's single-season list.

The IWLCA will honor the national All-America teams at its banquet on June 12 at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia.
