Instead of getting down and moping about one of their worst losses of the season, Elizabethtown College men's basketball did the complete opposite. Joe Schwalm scored 17 points and Lee Eckert backed him up with a career-high 16, as the Blue Jays upset Commonwealth Conference rival Lycoming, 69-66, Wednesday night for arguably their best win of the season.

Sophomore Taylor Kreider has come up big numerous times for the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team this season. Wednesday night may have been her brightest moment in an E-town uniform yet. Though the Blue Jays never trailed a Commonwealth Conference game at Lycoming, it took a Kreider steal and lay-up with two seconds left in overtime to fend off the Warriors' upset bid, 72-70.

Five straight dual wins, and six against Division III opponents, has vaulted the Elizabethtown College wrestling team back into the national rankings. The Blue Jays were ranked 21st in the Brute-Adidas NWCA Division III Poll released Tuesday.

Heading into the second half, the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team trailed Alvernia by seven points after a fairly even 20 minutes. What transpired in the second half was an an all-around onslaught from E-town, as four Blue Jays scored double figures and the team held Alvernia to 13 points in a 72-53 Commonwealth Conference victory at Thompson Gymnasium.

Elizabethtown and Alvernia were locked in a tight battle through the first 12 minutes of Saturday afternoon's Commonwealth Conference match-up at Thompson Gymnasium. That all changed with a game-changing 24-2 run by the Crusaders over the remainder of the half. The Blue Jays eventually went down to their 10th defeat of the season, 80-52.
