Andrea Weaver and Eric Reichert 2012 Distinguished Student-Athletes
Men's cross country senior Eric Reichert '12 and women's volleyball senior Andrea Weaver '12 were named Elizabethtown College's 2012 Distinguished Student-Athlete Award Winners Saturday night at the school's annual Blue Jay Athletics Alumni Reunion in Thompson Gymnasium. This year's event took on a different format in that it celebrated the 46-years of dedication to the College by retiring women's basketball coach Yvonne Kauffman. Juniors Elly McCarthy and Courtney Comstock have not yet missed being included on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region teams following the organization's recent announcement of its 2012 suads. McCarthy is the East Region's First Team Third Baseman and Comstock is a Third Team At-Large selection.

Prior to Monday night, only two men in the history of Elizabethtown College men's track & field had run in the 1:50's in the 800m. Sophomore Matt Rever became the third, with a school record-setting performance of 1:50.39 in the Tuppeny Twilight Last Chance Meet at Swathmore College.

Sophomore Megan Tursi and freshman Ashley Underkofler set new personal records in the 1500m and 800m, respectively, as members of the Elizabethtown College women's track & field team competed at Monday night's Tuppeny Twilight Last Chance Meet at Swarthmore College. It was E-town's final competition before NCAA declarations are made for the 2012 DIII Outdoor Championships.

Junior catcher Dillon Tagle, of the Elizabethtown College baseball team, has been chosen to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 4 NCAA Division III Team along with 11 other players. Tagle hit .378 on the season and led the Blue Jays to their 14th straight conference playoff appearance.

5.14.12 | Women's Lacrosse
Elizabethtown College placed three women's lacrosse players on the All-Commonwealth Conference First Team and three more on the Second Team, the conference recently announced. Additionally, freshman Leigh Anne Flounlacker was named conference Rookie of the Year. Flounlacker led the team in goals with 52 and points with 72.

5.12.12 | Women's Tennis
Four-time defending NCAA Division III National Champion, and top-ranked, Williams College ended the Elizabethtown College women's tennis team's most successful season in school history Saturday afternoon in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays made the Ephs work hard to advance, but Williams wore down E-town to take the match, 6-0, and advance to the Sweet 16.

5.12.12 | Men's Tennis
The good news for Elizabethtown College's men's tennis team was that their body of work throughout the season and a conference championship kept them from one of the pigtail first round matches in this year's NCAA Division III Tournament. The flip side was running up against the 13th-ranked team in the country in Johns Hopkins in the Second Round. Hopkins used its skill and the comfort of its home courts to defeat E-town 5-0 Saturday afternoon, thus ending the E-town Blue Jays season at 13-7.
