Relay teams lead E-town on opening day of 2012 MAC Championships

Elizabethtown's men's and women's 200 yard freestyle relay teams each placed sixth to earn All-MAC Second Team honors on the opening day of the 2012 MAC Swimming Championships Friday at the Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre. The men's 400 yard medley relay team also finished sixth in the final event of the night to give the Blue Jays three all-conference relay squads.... more

Four from women's cross country named USTFCCCA DIII All-Academic

All-region runners Eileen Cody, Megan Patton, Traci Tempone and Megan Tursi were among 183 NCAA Division III women's cross country student-athletes recognized on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list, the organization announced Friday afternoon.

Three time All-American Eric Reichert, and 2011 All-Mideast Region runner Aaron Focht, from the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team were among 141 NCAA Division III student-athletes to earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Cross Country All-Academic status, the organization announced late Wednesday.

No. 22 Blue Jays make quick work of Monarchs

In less than 40 minutes the 22nd-ranked Elizabethtown wrestling team had its 11th dual victory of the season. Three pins and three forfeits accounted for 36 points as the Blue Jays downed King's (Pa.) 40-18 in a Metropolitan Conference match at Thompson Gymnasium Wednesday evening.

Slow start hurts Blue Jays in loss at Lebanon Valley

It's mighty hard to win road games in the Commonwealth Conference, and even more difficult to do so when playing from behind. Elizabethtown men's basketball found itself in that situation Wednesday night at Lebanon Valley. The Blue Jays were down 10 at halftime and though they tried to claw back, the Flying Dutchmen had enough to send the visitors to a 71-58 defeat.

No. 16 LVC pulls away from women's basketball in second half

Tierney Hiltz led three Lebanon Valley players in double figures, and the 16th-ranked Flying Dutchmen gradually pulled away from the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team to take Wednesday night's Commonwealth Conference clash 65-51. Sophomore Kendra Beittel paced the Blue Jays with 14 points.

WBB to take part in LVC's Pink Game; Follow tonight's doubleheader live

Elizabethtown women's basketball will take part in Lebanon Valley College's fifth annual Pink Game tonight when it hits the court against the 16th-ranked Flying Dutchmen at 6 p.m. A large turnout is expected for the cancer awareness game, as last year's game drew over 1,500 fans. For those fans not making the trip to Annville tonight, both the women's and the men's games can be followed via LVC's live stats and live audio broadcast.

Kauffman chosen as 2012 Joseph A. Whitmore Service to Student-Athletes Award recipient

Long-time women's basketball coach and associate athletic director Yvonne Kauffman, who has given nearly a half century of knowledge, mentoring, teaching, coaching and service to Elizabethtown College, has been named the 2012 recipient of the Joseph A. Whitmore Service to Student-Athletes Award. A special campus-wide celebration to commemorate Coach Kauffman's career, her retirement and the award will be held Saturday, May 12, at Thompson Gymnasium.
