Sixteen-win seasons in each of the last three years has provided plenty of opportunity for the Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team to be recognized on the Division III national scene. The Blue Jays have finished the last two seasons nationally ranked, and Friday afternoon it was announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) that E-town will start the 2012 season ranked 20th in Division III.

Elizabethtown women's soccer junior Laura Wingert was recently named to the NSCAA Scholar All-East Third Team, the coaches' organization announced. Wingert is the first Blue Jay women's soccer player to earn a spot on an NSCAA scholar all-region team in program history.

Elizabethtown had to be pretty pleased with its first half in Wednesday night's Commonwealth Conference men's basketball clash at Widener. The Blue Jays were the tempo setters, leading by as many as nine points. The Pride put their forte on display in the final 20 minutes, however, running up and down the court for 45 points in a 78-62 victory.

The toughest games on the schedule usually come against conference opponents on the road. That truth was realized for the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team Wednesday night against a hard-nosed Widener team. After taking a commanding a lead in the early going, the Blue Jays saw the game slowly slip from their grasp, and their three game winning streak come to an end in a 79-52 Commonwealth Conference loss to the Pride.
