Brad D. Hassinger '90 is a native of Berry
sburg, Pa. and a 1986 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School. A four-year letterwinner and captain of the baseball team at Elizabethtown College, Brad was inducted into the Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.

Hassinger burst onto the college baseball scene in 1987, capturing a spot on the Middle Atlantic Conference Northern Division First Team at pitcher as a freshman in 1987. He went on to duplicate the honor as a sophomore in 1988.

A look at the record books finds Brad's name still firmly planted amongst the greatest pitchers to put on a Blue Jay uniform. He ranked tied for third in career wins (21), third in innings pitched (239.1), sixth in strikeouts (217), seventh in complete games (15) and top 10 in saves as of his induction in May of '09.

Hassinger signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as a non-drafted free agent
following his graduation with a degree in business administration from Elizabethtown in 1990. He played with several minor league squads, including the Phils' Eastern League Double A affiliate, the Reading Phillies.

Brad currently owns EKH Inc., which sells spinal implants to orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons. He and his wife, Heather, a 1992 Elizabethtown College graduate, reside in Elizabethtown and have two children.
