58 E-town student-athletes named to Landmark Fall Honor Roll

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark announced its 2015 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections Wednesday, with 58 student-athletes from Elizabethtown receiving recognition. In total, 379 student-athletes across the conference were named to the Honor Roll. The Academic Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

The 58 Blue Jays honored were five more than last fall's total for E-town. Half of this year's number are repeat selections from 2014 and 18 were named All-Landmark this season, including 14 First Team members and four Second Team members. Landmark individual champions Zach Trama and Lydia Dearie were among those names on the list for Elizabethtown. The field hockey and women's soccer teams tied for the most selections with 13.

Of the 379 student-athletes recognized this fall, 212 are repeat honorees having been awarded in a previous year. A remarkable 72 seniors have been named to the Honor Roll all three years they have been eligible. This fall's honorees also include 72 student-athletes who were recognized as All-Landmark earlier this month and 64 who were part of Landmark Championship teams.

The Honor Roll marks the first academic accolades awarded by the conference this fall. The Landmark will announce the Senior Scholar athletes next month.
