Weather alters weekend schedule for baseball at Scranton

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Friday's steady rain and forecasted near-freezing temperatures for Scranton overnight necessitated the Royals adjusting this weekend's Landmark series with the Elizabethtown College baseball team.

Saturday's 7-inning doubleheader has been postponed and moved to Sunday, April 2, at 1 p.m. The games were originally scheduled to be played at PNC Field, home of the International League's (AAA) Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRaiders, but will now take place at the Royals' home field, Connell Park.

Sunday's single 9-inning game will be pushed to Monday, April 3, at 4 p.m.

Elizabethtown was to make up the final game of its series against Moravian on Monday, but that has been postponed in order to finish the Scranton series. A makeup date for the Moravian finale has not been announced at this time.
